Ontario East Ottawa and 1,000 Islands

Following time in Toronto drive along the northern shore of Lake Ontario to the 1,000 Islands region and the pretty town of Gananoque. Explore this fascinating area including the Rideau Canal either from the land or from the water. On to Ottawa, Canada’s Capital, with its National Museums and Galleries. Heading west from Ottawa to Algonquin Provincial Park and Huntsville, an area renowned for forests, lakes and spectacular scenery. There are numerous opportunities for outdoor activities. Travel south to Niagara-On-The-Lake, a town of leafy Victorian streets where the Niagara river flows into Lake Ontario and near to thundering Niagara Falls. Return east to Toronto and home.
