Extend your stay in the Mile High City
Denver is a destination in itself, not just a gateway city, a place to enjoy and a centre to experience some great scenery. The Mile High City is on the edge of the Rockies with plains stretching to the east and mountains rising a few miles to the west.
The city offers culture with museums theatres and art galleries, a wide choice of fine restaurants and diverse shopping opportunities, all within a compact central district.
Hire a car and within a short time you can be up amongst the peaks and iconic alpine landscapes. Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park offer spectacular mountain scenery and vistas.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Denver with time to take in the nightlife and restaurants
Day 2 Explore downtown Denver including 16th St Mall, The Capital Buiding, Denver Art Museaum and more.
Day 3 Hire a car and drive to The Rocky National Park about 75 miles north west of Denver, select a route to include some of the famous winter resorts
Day 4 Drive to Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak 80 miles south.
Day 5 Time in Denver before an onward flight
